P&H acquires Port of Quebec export terminal

Parrish & Heimbecker, Ltd. (P&H), a Canadian, family-owned agribusiness, has acquired a deep-water bulk marine export terminal at the Port of Quebec in Quebec City from Société en Commandite Terminal Grains. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Société en Commandite Terminal Grains has been operated by Sollio Agriculture since 2021. Situated in a key eastern shipping corridor on the St. Lawrence River, P&H said the facility will play a critical role in enhancing the company’s operations and support its strategy of strengthening Canada’s grain handling and transportation network.

“The addition of a Quebec City terminal is a strong fit for our long-term growth strategy,” said John Heimbecker, chief executive officer of P&H. “It allows us to offer even more reliable and efficient service to our customers, while optimizing our logistics and supply chain capabilities across the country.”

P&H said it is committed to working collaboratively to meet the operational standards set by the Port of Quebec, and current employees will remain in place to operate the facility.

P&H operations include grain merchandising, flour milling, as well as crop inputs and feed mills at over 70 locations worldwide. Its subsidiary, P&H Milling Group, specializes in flour milling and pea processing.

With 40 grain storage facilities and 23.4 million bushels of licensed storage, P&H is the 67th largest grain handling company in North America and sixth largest in Canada as listed in Sosland Publishing Co.’s2025 Grain & Milling Annual.
