Al Dahra, a United Arab Emirates-based global agribusiness, is partnering with Getreide AG Ukraine through an exclusive agreement to establish grain sourcing operations that support its global growth and supply chain strategy, the Khaleej Times reported.
Under the agreement, Al Dahra will source between 100,000 and 150,000 tonnes of agricultural commodities, with plans to scale operations beyond 500,000 tonnes in Ukraine, which is among the world’s top exporters of wheat, corn and barley.
With dedicated teams from both companies collaborating, operations integration is expected to be complete before Ukraine’s new crop season begins in July.
Al Dahra said the partnership will complement its operations in Serbia, Romania, Egypt and the United States while securing a reliable and consistent supply for its customers across the Middle East and Africa.
“This partnership marks a pivotal advancement in our global strategy to secure resilient supply chains for our customers,” said Arnoud van den Berg, group chief executive officer, Al Dahra. “Our exclusive relationship with Getreide AG Ukraine positions us strategically in one of the world’s most vital agricultural regions, enhancing our ability to meet growing global food demand.”
Al Dahra is engaged in grains farming, trading and processing with facilities and sourcing in over 20 countries. The company has farming and sourcing capabilities across the Black Sea Region that span wheat, barley, soybeans, sunflowers and corn from its trading hub in Constanta, Romania.
