Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Commodity Trader to enhance our trading operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the buying and selling of agricultural commodities, optimizing our market position, and contributing to our profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze commodity markets to make informed buying and selling decisions.
  • Develop and manage trading strategies based on market analysis and trends.
  • Negotiate purchase and sales contracts with suppliers and clients.
  • Monitor global market conditions, economic factors, and supply chain developments that affect commodity prices.
  • Collaborate with logistics and quality assurance teams to ensure contract terms are fulfilled.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Provide regular reports on market activity, trading positions, and financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Commodity Trader or in a similar role within the agricultural industry.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets and financial trading principles.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in using trading software and platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in trading soybeans, corn, and soybean meal.
  • Knowledge of risk management tools and techniques in commodity trading.
