Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing the quality control processes for our soybeans, corn, and soybean meal products from procurement through to delivery. The ideal candidate will ensure our products meet both our internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures for all products.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of processes, materials, and products to identify potential quality issues.
- Analyze inspection results and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to ensure quality standards are met across the supply chain.
- Manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare reports on quality issues, findings, and improvements for senior management.
- Train and guide staff on quality control procedures and updates.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in regulations related to agricultural commodities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Quality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role, ideally in the agricultural or food production industry.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and report writing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as ISO 9001 or similar quality management system qualifications.
- Experience in handling and testing agricultural commodities like soybeans, corn, and soybean meal.
